After negotiating with Helen and Paul as to which conifers I could remove I set to work with the chainsaw. A shame in a way but they had been there for quite some time and were going to be to big to keep. I love conifers in the Rock Garden but as soon as they start growing out of scale they need to be replaced.

After buzzing through them I could see it was going to be quite a task to dig out the stumps, by hand that is but not with a mini digger.
